Before the port-city jewellery traditions of the Straits took form, older influences had already arrived — Arab, Persian, Mughal — carried by traders who shaped the region’s ornamental vocabulary long before it had a name.
Permata Fajar draws from that earlier layer. A pear-cut rubellite sits at the centre, framed by white gold arches that echo the tiered symmetry found across the region’s older public facades — built for presence, not privacy. Each tier repeats with clarity. The geometry is measured and layered, owing nothing to any single tradition and something to all of them.
No inscription. No allegiance. Just the form that remains when the history moves on.
